Katrina and Jeff’s Elopement

I first worked with Katrina and Jeff last year when they hired me to photograph their combined families. I had never met them and I knew nothing about their stories. But it was quickly obvious to me that Jeff and Katrina loved and cared for each of their seven children.  It was even more obvious to me that they wanted each child to feel important and acknowledged.  Katrina encouraged each child to demonstrate their unique personalities in their individual shots. She and Jeff enjoyed watching each of them portray themselves in their personal photos.  I truthfully still do not know which children are Katrina’s and which are Jeff’s.

Katrina was married to Andy when she first met Jeff.   Jeff remembers meeting Katrina in October of 2014 at Octoberfest.  Katrina does not recall meeting him until December of that year at a mutual friend’s birthday.  Katrina introduced Jeff to  Andy and the two of them quickly became best friends! Jeff and Andy and Katrina enjoyed spending much of their time together.

Life continued on like that until 2016 when Katrina’s husband passed after 13 years together. Jeff and Katrina both mourned the loss of Andy. Through that mourning they found solace in each other and their relationship gradually started to change.

In 2017 they officially started to date. In 2019 they welcomed their gorgeous son Grayson into their lives. Their big blended family is full of love and craziness. They have 7 children between them and one grandson.

They are sweet and kind and they are always smiling.  Working with them has been my honor and pleasure. I wish them and their family many blessings and much joy as they start their lives together.  May God bless them richly.
