Kelsey ~ Class of 2020 ~ Shawnee High School
Kelsey is a genuinely gorgeous and sweet young lady. Her striking blue eyes and beautiful smile made my job both fun and easy. Working with Kelsey and her mom (Gina) was such a great experience. They were both so fun and relaxed. We laughed and enjoyed our time trying out a variety of locations and poses.
Kelsey has participated in both volleyball and swim during all four years of her high school career. In volleyball, she was nominated two years in a row to First Team All-WBL and First Team All-District. Along with those nominations, she was honored to be a captain of her volleyball team during her senior year. Throughout her four years of swim she was able to qualify for districts each year and be a team captain during her senior year.
She is a four-year Scholar-Award winner. In addition to working hard on her academics, she was a student government representative, a member of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and a member of the WBL Sportsmanship Committee. She volunteers at her church as an alter server and as a teacher’s aide for the religion program every Sunday. She works as a life guard at Westside Swim and Racquet Club each summer and she swims for their summer swim team as well.
She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and playing volleyball and swimming. One of her biggest accomplishments was setting her high school volleyball team’s career high assists record of 1,500!! It was a life changing event because it was amazing to see her community, family, and friends come together to celebrate that milestone with her.
Along with her academics she also played the piano for three years and the saxophone for five years. Both of them were fun to learn and be able to share with her family. Going through all of these events has taught her to love who you are and give your 100% effort to everything you try so that you can achieve all of your goals.
Kelsey is a middle child. She has an older sister and a younger brother. They have no pets but they are so busy that they don’t need one:) Her family supports each other by going to events such as soccer games for her brother or band concerts for her sister. They always find time to be there for each other and bond together in encouraging ways.
She plans to attend Ohio University to study Engineering. We wish Kelsey much luck and success in her future. May God bless and protect her as she moves on with her life and into new adventures.
